Refund policy
We want you to love every bite of your date-sweetened chocolate. Because our products are perishable food items, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an order has shipped.
If your order arrives melted beyond recognition, damaged (I.e. crushed, leaking, or otherwise compromised during transit to the point that it cannot be reasonably enjoyed) or incorrect, please contact us at info@thesimpledate.ca within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue, and we’ll review your case for a replacement or store credit depending on availability.
Please note:
- Minor softening or slight melting during warmer months is normal and not considered damage.
- We don’t issue refunds for taste preferences or for products left outside after delivery.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable.
- If a replacement is approved, we’ll cover re-shipment costs on our end.
We appreciate your understanding — small-batch, handcrafted chocolate deserves a little TLC on its way to you.
